Mental health is a common concern and issue in modern day Britain and just because someone has been diagnosed with a mental health condition such as schizophrenia, it doesn’t mean that they are serial killers in the making.
Criminologists agree that there are several similar factors in the background and childhood of a serial killer. They combine to create a skewed few of the world and their place within it.
A trigger will often cause someone to move into the realms of killing, whether this is something they interpret as a sign, or voices in their head.
They can often be personable and likeable people or as in the case of recent serial killers in Britain, can be unpleasant and narcissistic personalities.
